Moving Strings in the Vogelbuurt

During the whole September, Trio duo – Maya Felixbrodt and Geerte de Koe – had a residency with De Muziekstraat in the Vogelbuurt, Amsterdam. During this residency, they invited several string players to experiment with movement, space, and improvisation, working both inside studio and outside on the public space.

During last spring (2018), George Hadow, Nanna Ikonen, Daniel Chagnon, and myself were working for a while in my last musical ideas. A piece where I mix my most personal interests: poetry, improvisation, rhythmic techniques from Carnatic South Indian music, and a very collaborative way of working.
